Job:

I have worked at Cerritos College since 1981. My first job was as a part-time student worker for the Reading Department. In 1987 I was hired by the Reading Department as a full-time Classified Computerized Instructional Support.

Under that job I was able to oversee the operation and resources of the Reading Center, as well as to lead the work of student workers. Other responsibilities included and were not limited to:

I was able to work with a wide variety of students, who's main goal is to improve their reading skills. Year after year, students have shown a big interest in our computer programs. Their major emphasis is to help students develop skills in Main Ideas/Details, Vocabulary, Relationships, etc. The "Reading Efficiency Program" by Weaver   has been used by the Reading Department for many years.

             Presently, I have been working for the Innovation Center at Cerritos 
             College since March of 2000. My new position as a Technology Trainer,
             allows me to work with faculty and staff on different computer programs.
