General Information

 The campus network
consists of approximately 3,800 Switched 10 Mbps Ethernet ports using
equipment purchased from 3Com Corporation.
There are about 1,500 active personal computers and Macintosh computers on
the Cerritos College campus network. Other connections are for
printers, servers, other devices, and future growth.
Internet connectivity is via two T1 1.544 mbps lines to 4Cnet. 4Cnet is a
joint venture between the California State University Network Operations
Center and the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office.
The campus e-mail server is PMDF from Innosoft Corporation and runs on a
Compaq OpenVMS Cluster of two AlphaServer 2100 systems.
There are several e-mail interfaces in use on campus: PMDF EMAIL, and POP3
and IMAP4 access via desktop email clients such as Microsoft Outlook2000
and Microsoft Outlook Express.
Student user accounts are available to all currently enrolled students.
Accounts can be activated in the Learning Resource Center.
