IMPORTANT
NEWS FOR BUSC 113 Students:
Just a reminder that I do not read email on
the weekends or on holidays.
This session we will be using
student numbers and passwords to access
course materials. If you used the system
last session, then you simply need to use
the same student number and password you
used then.
The first time you access
your course site, you should read the home
page and the syllabus. Also, every time
you access your site, be sure to click on
Message Board, to read any messages that may
have been posted that might affect you.
The Syllabus contains
important information about your class.
You will take a quiz on the Syllabus during
the first meeting. This is an “open book”
quiz and you are encouraged to refer to the
Syllabus as you take the test. The test is
NOT timed and so you should have plenty of
time to look up each answer. The Syllabus
quiz is NOT the same as the orientation
quiz.
The Syllabus page is the page
that lists all assignments, lectures, due
dates, and point value for the assignment
for each module.
Check
your e-mail once a day. Before emailing
Professor Balmages with general questions
about the course, post your questions to the
main discussion board and wait at
least 24 hours for a response. When sending
e-mail to Professor Balmages, always put
your BUSC class such as BUSC 185 or BUSC 113
in the "SUBJECT" line. Allow at least 24
hours for a response (48 hours on weekends)
If you need assistance
because you do not understand an assignment
or have a question as to how to do
something, please type HELP in the Subject
line before the course number and your
name. Remember to check the Message Board
prior to emailing for assistance in the
event that your question is answered there.
Also, please note that typing in all capital
letters is considered to be shouting and is
RUDE. Please use upper and lower case
letters in your email. The only word that
should be typed in all capital letters is
the word “help” if you need assistance.
If you have a problem
accessing the course materials, you should
go to the "E-Courses Tech Support" pages (http://www.cerritos.edu/faq/de/de_student_faqs_list.asp).
Read the FAQs first and then if you do not
find an answer to your problem, click on the
Contact Tech Support button at the top of
the page.
If you have any questions or
problems, first contact the instructor for
your course, and if you do not get a
satisfactory answer, feel free to contact
me.
