#OVERVIEW

This is an action-oriented course designed to identify and seek solutions to some of the major health problems of our time, including such vital personal and community health issues as nutrition, physical fitness, emotional health, human sexuality and drug abuse. Students are encouraged to become involved in assignments that emphasize their own development.

All assignments and communication will be delivered via the internet.

This class will be managed through CourseCompass.com, a service provided by our textbook publishing company.  All course information and documents (lectures, study guides, etc.) will be found on this web site – you will take tests (receiving immediate feedback), send email and participate in class discussions.

You must have an access code to register for CourseCompass at http://pearsonmylabandmastering.com/?cc . You will receive the code at the school bookstore when you purchase a new textbook. If you purchase a used book, you will also buy an access code separately. Access codes from the previous semester are no longer active (a former student’s code will not work). Purchase your textbook immediately and register on CourseCompass.
