  4. Be familiar with IFT exercise programming and special populations.
  5. Clients with special needs: pregnancy, low back pain, medications (such as Beta Blockers, ACE inhibitors, alcohol), Diabetes Type I and II: know one guideline for cardiorespiratory and strength training (handout)
  6. Know guidelines for resistance training
  7. Be able to calculate caloric expenditure
  8. Explain Phases 1-4 for cardiorespiratory and resistance training.
  9. Describe RPE
  10. Extra credit: Know how to convert METS into caloric expenditure. p. 381
